Keeping in Sync with Your Accounting System with the Updater - Video

Modified on Fri, 17 May 2024 at 10:23 AM

A very important feature of Martus is that users can see monthly totals and actual transactions recorded in your accounting system.  This supports Martus’ robust reporting and provides budget owners with up-to-date visibility into their budget vs. actuals!

This video describes how Martus is kept in sync with your accounting system.  It applies to all Martus’ API-based integrations—to accounting systems like Sage Intacct, QuickBooks (QBO and Desktop), Financial Edge NXT and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.

For all of these integrations, Martus has an “updater” process that runs automatically to sync Martus to your accounting system. This process runs automatically, overnight, before each weekday.

You can also perform manual updates when needed using the Updater selection on the Dashboard menu.

Note: For Martus integrations with accounting systems that do not have an API, the updates are made by importing transaction files. That process is not described in this video.   For instructions, click this link or the Knowledge Base folder that contains documentation and tutorial videos about file-based integrations with Martus.
