Why Is There a Different Amount When I Drill Down from a Report?

This topic applies to Martus implementations with an API-based integration.  Let’s say that you notice an amount of $1500 in the actuals for November, but when you drill down, you see transactions totaling $2000.

As a general rule, any time there is a discrepancy between the totals on any report and the details on drilldown, there has been a change in your accounting system that hasn't yet been processed by the sync (updater) process. Or, the change was made for a reporting period earlier than the time frame processed by the sync process, which updates transactions for the current and two prior months.)

To resolve this, use Dashboard>Updater and run a monthly sync for the timeframe in question.  Or, if the transactions are in the period of time handled by the nightly process, wait for that process to run and check again on the following day.
