Can I Select to Report on Multiple Dimension Values at the Same Time?

Martus reporting is very hierarchical. Specifying a parent dimension value will always include that parent and all of its children.

There is no way to select multiple dimension values from within a single dropdown.

However, you can set up a separate user profile with access to the group of departments (or other dimensions) in question to see a consolidated view.  See this Knowledge Base article for information about setting up user profiles.

How Do I Show Expenses as Positive Numbers in the ReportBuilder?

Values for expense accounts are set to negative amounts by default, on ReportBuilder reports. You can set expenses to display as positive numbers by using the absolute option in formula columns.

This video demonstrates how to add formula columns and set them to the absolute value.

Why Is There a Different Amount When I Drill Down from a Report?

This topic applies to Martus implementations with an API-based integration.  Let’s say that you notice an amount of $1500 in the actuals for November, but when you drill down, you see transactions totaling $2000.

As a general rule, any time there is a discrepancy between the totals on any report and the details on drilldown, there has been a change in your accounting system that hasn't yet been processed by the sync (updater) process. Or, the change was made for a reporting period earlier than the time frame processed by the sync process, which updates transactions for the current and two prior months.)

To resolve this, use Dashboard>Updater and run a monthly sync for the timeframe in question.  Or, if the transactions are in the period of time handled by the nightly process, wait for that process to run and check again on the following day.
